Centeye uses a vertically integrated approach when developing sensor hardware. When developing a vision sensor for a specific application, the same team of engineers may develop the image sensor chip, sensor hardware, software algorithms, and maybe even the optics, to develop a solution optimized across multiple technology layers. This approach frees us from the limitations of the typical “black box” interface associated with most technology components, and often allows us to achieve figures of merit that are one, two, or even more orders of magnitude better than that achievable by simply assembling off the shelf components.
