We are pleased to announce the initial availability of both Centeye vision chips and complete sensors. These are currently being produced in small quantities, with larger volumes to be availble in the future based on market response.
If you are interested in our work, we ask two things of you. First, please visit our application survey page and fill out a survey- Give us a wish-list and tell us what you would like. Second, please join our mailing list for occasional updates.
Vision Chips: Nine different vision chips are available, either in bare die form, as a "sensor head", or wire bonded to a breakout board with 0.1" headers.
Complete sensor: A minimalist sensor based on an 8-bit microcontroller.

Vision Chips

Tamalpais series: Logarithmic response, 7 wire bonds required, contrast amplification, voltage regulation, on-chip biases. Simple interface (ground, power, optional analog power, conf1, conf2, clock, reset, analog out)
A) Tamalpais1, 16x16, die 1.3x4.1mm, focal plane 0.3x0.3mm
B) Tamalpais2, 8x8, die 1.3x4.1mm, focal plane 0.3x0.3mm
Tam series: Logarithmic response, 8 wire bonds required, very simple interface (ground, power1, power2 (can be shorted to power 1), bias1, bias2, clock, reset, analog out)
C) Tam2, 16x16, die 2.7x3.8mm, focal plane 1.34x1.34mm
D) Tam4, 4x32, die 2.7x3.8mm, focal plane 1.34x1.34mm (rectangular pixels)
Faraya series: Logarithmic response, smoothing and binning network, PIO12 interface, on-chip biases. G and J has on-chip 8-bit ADC, G has on-chip voltage regulator.

HexRect: Experimental design supporting both hexagonal and rectangular pixel arrays. Raw resolution 304x512, hex resolution 152x255, rectangular resolution 151x256, PIO12 interface, on-chip biases, on-chip 8-bit ADC, on-chip voltage regulator.
K) HexRect, various, die 6.1x11.1mm, focal pplane 4.7x9.2mm
PIO interface: Parallel bidirectional interface requiring 8-bit bidirectional plus 2-bit output to chip. All chips have at least one analog output for use with external ADC, though this port is not required for chips having on-chip ADC.
Complete Sensor
A complete minimalist sensor using a Centeye vision chip and an Atmel ATmega644p processor as a back-end. The version shown below is without vision chip and optics. Size: 18x13mm. Mass: about 600mg without chip or optics (as shown below). Open source code is available for prototype application firmware. Currently being produced in small quantities. Contact us for details.
